Field Description: Concordia Seminary, Nagercoil, the seminary of the India Evangelical Lutheran Church (IELC), has just graduated another class of 24 students, and 20 more have been admitted. In addition, there is a new set of 20 students enrolled in a year-long course to be lay evangelists.

For several years, the seminary has been in the process of meeting the requirements that would allow it to offer an English-medium, Bachelor’s Degree Program (“M.Div” in USA). In June, they expect to finally inaugurate the program with 12 to 15 students, and the church has requested an LCMS missionary to come and head that program.

The cost to support a seminary student is approximately $1,200 per year per student.
